World Trade Center Savannah (WTCSav) has been named a World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) Biennial Champions Award winner for “Reciprocity and Network Support” as well as “Regional Member of the Year (North America).” The honors recognize WTCSav’s excellence in local and global contributions, while exemplifying the values, vision, mission and goals of the WTCA.
Winners of the third Biennial WTCA Champions Awards were announced during the 54th annual WTCA Global Business Forum (GBF) hosted by WTC Bengaluru in Bengaluru, India. Nominees were awarded in four key categories: local connectivity, reciprocity/network support, sustainability and innovation.
“The Biennial Champions Awards not only recognizes our WTCA Members’ achievements, but also serves as a catalyst for continued innovation and collaboration within the network,” said WTCA Board of Directors Chair John E. Drew. “In this year’s edition, we introduced several new categories to showcase our global members and the work they do on a daily basis to drive real change that impacts our association’s global footprint. As a result, we witnessed a great number of nominations from our members – nearly tripling the number of nominees from the previous edition.”
The Champions Awards recognize WTCA members across a global network of highly connected, mutually supporting businesses and organizations who exemplify the association’s core values and mission. Each category highlights the efforts of WTCA members in driving positive impact both locally and globally. A judging panel consisting of previous Champions Awards winners, and chairs of WTCA’s Member Advisory Councils and Regional Advisory Councils selected the winners of the 10 categories.
“It’s not shocking to anyone who has worked with the organization that World Trade Center Savannah was nominated for three global awards and brought home two of them from WTCA’s Global Business Forum in India,” said WTCSav Board of Directors Chair John Coleman. “The team is small but mighty and has accomplished an incredible amount of work in the past year. From leading the largest delegation from North America to last year’s GBF in Accra, Ghana to obtaining premier accreditation in Trade Development and Business and Member Services (only one of two North American WTCs in this category), WTCSav continues to hit major milestones all while fulfilling the many diverse requests that come through the reciprocity desk.”
More than 245 participants from nearly 110 WTC locations across 36 countries/territories representing 52 different industry sectors came together for the Global Business Forum in Bengaluru, India.
